FAQ

If you feel like you’ve tried everything - handfuls of supplements, eating squeaky clean, acupuncture, cutting exercise, adding exercise, etc., and nothing seems to make a difference, or you struggle to stick with anything because you’re not sure it’s actually doing anything - I got you.

Here’s how the FERTILE IN FIVE program is different than anything you’ve tried before:

  1. FERTILE IN FIVE offers a uniquely holistic approach to your fertility. Rather than just zeroing in on your reproductive anatomy and stamping you with “unexplained” infertility when results all come back normal, we’re going to look at your health and fertility holistically.
  2. FERTILE IN FIVE is personalized to YOU. No more feeling like just another number in the IVF system. No more falling off the wagon because you’re doubting it’s the right thing for you. I’ll evaluate YOUR unique physiology to determine the best exercise for you, whether you should cut coffee or gluten, or add more antioxidants, etc. With this customized approach, you can feel confident you’re on YOUR right path, which makes it a lot easier to stay consistent in your journey to having a healthy baby in your arms.
  3. FERTILE IN FIVE provides a proven process to follow, step by step. Rather than researching on your own, trying things willy nilly, I offer a proven, step-by-step process with 92% healthy baby success rates. Compare this 92% to IVF, with only a 32.7% chance of live birth in the first round  (for women under 35 years old). On average, it takes SIX rounds of IVF - not the hopeful prospects you would expect given the physical, emotional and financial hardship imposed by these invasive treatments. More promising is the fertility diet, shown to reduce the risk of ovulatory infertility by 66% among women who had been struggling to conceive, ages 25-42. Now, get this! 92% of women who completed my FERTILE IN FIVE coaching program went on to enjoy a healthy pregnancy within 3 months! This is amazing news! It means that you have BETTER chances of a healthy pregnancy by working with a fertility dietitian (like me 🙋🏻‍♀️)
  4. You get the accountability & support to ensure your success. No more late nights alone, doom-scrolling. As your coach, I’m in it with you, on the daily. We use the Practice Better app, where you log everything - your food, exercise, mood, bowel movements (nothing is TMI), etc., and I can provide real time feedback, helping you troubleshoot and keeping you on track. I’m your accountability buddy, cheerleader and fertility navigator.

I get it that time’s a tickin’. You’re not getting any younger…. The good news is that fertility nutrition is a natural approach that can be MORE effective than invasive treatments like IVF.

Let the numbers speak for themselves.

According to the Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology, in one round of IVF (the first fresh transfer) the rates of live birth are only:

  • 32.7% for women < 35 y.o.
  • 25.8% for women 35-37  y.o.
  • 18% for women 37-40 y.o. and
  • <10% for women over 40.

These stats are not the guarantee of a healthy baby that you would hope for after going through all of the physical, emotional & financial turmoil of IVF.

More promising are the results from research on the fertility diet, shown to reduce the risk of ovulatory infertility by 66%, among women 25-42 y.o.

 This is HUGE!

It means that if you are:

  • Over 35
  • Have hypothalamic amenorrhea (HA)
  • Have PCOS; or
  • Your cycles are wonky and you have no idea why

Then you have better chances of a healthy pregnancy through fertility nutrition than through IVF.  Now, get this!👇

92% of women who did my FERTILE IN FIVE coaching program went on to enjoy a healthy pregnancy within 3 months of completing the program!

✨ As a registered dietitian nutritionist with a functional approach to fertility, I can help you get (and stay!) pregnant - whether you opt for IUI, IVF or go au naturale, optimizing your nutrition & lifestyle first is critical to your success.✨

In just 90 days, you can improve your egg quality and restore your cycles.

In the next 3 months, your follicles will mature for ovulation. This is a unique window of time when you have the power to fortify those developing eggs with nutrients and antioxidants needed for conception and miscarriage prevention.

For 92% of the women who did my FERTILE IN FIVE coaching program, they went on to enjoy a healthy pregnancy within 3 months of completing the program!

A functional approach means I look upstream to get to the root cause of your cycle / fertility issues.

In conventional reproductive care, they mask the issue with exogenous hormones, without getting to the source of the issue. For example, if you’re not ovulating, they prescribe clomid or letrozole in an attempt to force ovulation, without first exploring WHY you’re not ovulating. In contrast, a functional approach asks ‘why’ you’re not ovulating, so we can restore your body’s natural function.

When working together, I’m going to evaluate all the possible causes, starting with nutrition and making sure you’re eating enough of each nutrient, but also other stressors on your system, including exercise, stress, sleep, hidden infections, thyroid imbalances, poor digestion and beyond.

Say goodbye to taking a paycheck's worth of supplements you don't need, or squeezing in appointments with every specialist in town.

We'll get to the bottom of what YOU need and custom solutions to you.

I use conventional and functional testing so we can uncover what’s causing your unique barriers to fertility, and then customize treatment plans. The exact tests needed differ for everyone, depending on your health history, what tests you’ve already had done, etc.

Typically, my full fertility assessment includes:

  1. A FULL thyroid panel. If you’ve had your TSH and Free T4 tested, that is not a complete picture of your thyroid health. We need to look deeper, to the ability of your cells to take up thyroid hormone.
  2. Nutrient status influences everything from the amount of estrogen and progesterone produced, to the quality of your eggs and your risk of miscarriage. This testing will help us pinpoint any nutrient gaps and customize the fertility diet and treatment plans specifically to you.
  3. Inflammatory status and immune function to identify underlying stressors blocking ovulation and healthy hormone levels.
  4. Blood sugar and cholesterol levels to get at upstream causes hormone imbalances.
  5. DUTCH hormone testing: This test provides insight into all your sex hormones to understand not just IF they’re off, but WHY.
  6. 24-Hour salivary cortisol: This test gives insight into how stress is impacting your health and hormone production.
  7. GI MAP: This test evaluates the health of your gut microbiome and digestive health markers that will give insight into your immune function, inflammation and even gluten sensitivity. Correcting underlying gut issues is essential for balanced hormones, a healthy weight and even a good mood.

In addition to doing more comprehensive fertility testing than you get with a conventional OB/GYN or RE, my functional approach means I’m looking not just for “normal” results, not just freedom from illness and disease, but for optimal results that indicate all systems are thriving.
